BELMONT HOA BOARD MEETING Minutes August 3, 2014

1.     Process for dealing with road issue

a.     Contact all companies for how far the road money will get us

b.     OPTIONS:

                                      i.     Whole road paving – this option is off the table

                                     ii.     Do a full road patch up to the corner (fill in the blanks) – get quote

                                   iii.     Just patch the curve plus how far we can get– get all quotes

1.     How far will the money is the road fund get us?

                                   iv.     Patch as recommended (left and right) for road - ~ $17k

1.     Ace willing to negotiate, something like $14k now and pay the rest later so we can retain cash on hand

c.      Other previous quotes: Turner Asphalt and Jim’s Blacktop

                                      i.     Get second quote just on what we decide is the best option

2.     Budget

a.     General Fund + Emergency Fund – discuss dues in new year after creation of a plan - talk about next time

3.     Landscaping

a.     Need a long term plan – talk about next time

4.     MOTION: New president – Marvin Watkins– Motion moved and seconded. Unanimous AYE (pending acceptance). (Deborah Murray remains as Treasurer and Mike Thomas remains as Vice President).

5.     MOTION: Starting from Newburg’s and go as far as the road fund will take us. Motion moved and seconded. Unanimous AYE.

6.     Next meeting: August 17 at 6pm to finalize road plans.

7.     Labor Day party – Sunday September 31st

ACTION ITEMs:

MARVIN: Call Ace, Turner, and Jim and ask them how far the money in the road fund will get us. What seasons can they fix the road?

DEB: Send Nancy neighborhood information

NANCY: Make new form for structural changes & send email out for the August 17^th meeting after hearing from Marvin
MIKE: Talk to Kelly and Anita about cooking a pig for the Labor Day Party
